A brilliant read and no doubt For Twilight Lovers!,
This review is from: Darke Academy: 1: Secret Lives (Paperback)
It seems the whole world has finally gone mad over this genre! As I discovered the Twilight series waaaaaay before it was such a huge phenomenon; I have read a vast amount of books within this genre and can certainly say that this is one of my favourites. I dont think you should pick up a book to read whilst you have a preconcieved idea of that book i.e "I love twilight and I'm hoping this will fill a void that Twilight has left". Trouble is, when you really love something, nothing can compare to it. It can be just as brilliant but never quite matching to that expectation. So, please when picking books to read 'after' twilight, keep an open mind as it WONT be twilight. Right, now that the rant is over....
Darke Academy is well written, fantastic British Heroine, interesting characters who you cant help fall in love (or hate) with and an unusual story line. What I love about this series so far, is that it is unlike other books in this genre. When you read it, you'll know what I mean. I wont go into too much detail or spoil it as this book deserves to be read without the opinion or ideas of other people. I merely wrote this review to say, give it a chance and you'll love it!

I totally get the "I bought this to replace something else but it's not the same" rant! It's what made me decide to buy the book, kinda thinking we're on the same wave length so that's a promising sign that I'll like the book
