Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - Collector's Edition (Mac/PC DVD) (DVD-ROM)
Review for the collector's edition follows.
What does RoS bring?
- New character (crusader)
- New chapter (big one - think Act II) - more story, followers' side quests
- New enemies
- New level cap 70
- New items
- Adventure mode - quite fresh
The rest you already get in the 2.0.x patch which was a great, great move on behalf of Blizzard.
The collector's retail edition is the usual high quality - art book is top notch quality, you get soundtrack on a CD and a making of DVD/Blu-Ray (which I still haven't watched).
In terms of content that's about it. Was it worth 65 pounds? Yes and no. In terms of actual content it's expensive. If you're just going to play through the game once or twice or thrice it's probably overpriced. However if you find yourself glued to the PC playing Diablo in terms of fun/pound it's still a bargain.
Why 4 stars?
- Given the new content I still consider the game a bit overpriced (relative to the base game)
- Sadly playing on-line is still a major PITA - constant lag, disconnects and what not makes it not fun at all. Especially for us hardcore character gamers. These issues have plagued the original launch and sadly are still the norm.
My bottom line is: If you play and like Diablo 3 a lot - get it, otherwise I wouldn't honestly recommend RoS

What's Blizzard like for bug fixes and technical support? Do they try or not bother?
What's value for actual content if the price was £50?
