This review is from: Sniper One: The Blistering True Story of a British Battle Group Under Siege (Paperback)
Sniper One is a fantastic account of life in Iraq in 2004. SGT Dan Mills has a great writing style and once you start reading you will fly through this book and finish wanting more. It is full of excitement, an incredible real life account of the sort of pressure our soldiers are under. The pictures show the reality of the situation and RPG alley, as it was named, sounded like something more fitting to a first person shooter than a real life engagement. It is hard to believe that all of this could happen to one person over just a six month period. This has now become my benchmark for rating other books. The fairly large font size in this book makes it very easy to read. The short chapters flow nicely into each other keeping the reader eager to find out what's going to happen. I cannot find anything negative about this book and It definitely deserves 5 stars.
