Cat Mardy Boots,
This review is from: CAT Footwear Women's Mardy Fur (Apparel)
I'd wanted these boots last winter and never got round to buying them and then we had all that snow ... and I so wished I'd got them !! I'm an Ugg boot wearer normally or a Timberland boot wearer so these were the best of both with the fur and the sturdyness.
I'd say they come up big as I'd tried a size 5 on (which I usually am) in shops and they were too big on me so I took a chance and ordered the 4. I don't normally buy shoes off the internet as I can't try them on, but figured that with Amazon at least I can send them back if thet didn't fit. I'd also say they are a bit darker than they appeared in the pictures which for me isn't a bad thing as I prefer them !!
Overall I am really pleased with them and I got them at a bargin price and seeings as we have snow forcast for this week ... they really will be put to the test ... the only thing is ... will I want to wear my new boots in the snow ;-0) !!!

hi, well I ended up ordering the Black as well in a 4 and when I got them they fitted slightly smaller than the brown (which I found odd) and I was toying with the idea of sending them back.
After wearing them a few times they certainly did give a bit they still fit slightly smaller than the brown but feel ok. I thought about it for a few days and kept trying them on in the house, but as one of my friend pointed out the 5 would be too big, so decided to bite the bullet and keep them and I'm glad I did now.
It depends on how small they feel ? Mine felt really small across the top of my foot not in the toe length (does that make sense) ?
Hope that helps x

I thought I'd add a bit more to this .... now after wearing the black boots loads they now fit great !! I'm so glad I didn't send them back :-0) I'm just sorry now its getting warmer and I can't wear them ... roll on next winter as they still look in fab condition and they have been worn in snow and rain !

Not sure if you'll get this - I see you last posted re. these boots back in 2011(!) - but in case you do happen to see this comment, was wondering if you could let me know how they fare in terms of walking through the snow/rain? I understand these boots arent necessarily cited as `waterproof' in the product description so wondered how they cope with walking in the wet. Do you need to rush home and dry them with a hair-dryer after walking in the rain (for example) - as have happened with a similar looking pair of boots I purchased ... ?

Hi there I did see this as Amazon sent me an email :) They're fab, still going strong both the black and the brown I bought I honestly have never bought a better pair of boots :) My feet have never got wet, I did spray them with protector like I do with all shoes and I re do that at least once a year. I have wore them in snow and my feet didn't get wet, although I have since bought 'snow' boots as I do seem to have to wear thermal socks now with the Cat boots to keep my toes extra toasty ! I've never dried them after being out in the rain just left them to dry naturally and they look as good (if not better) as the day I bought them :) Hope this helps :)
