Excellent tool for strategic vocabulary learning!,
This review is from: The Vocabulary Guide to Biblical Hebrew (Paperback)
This book is excellent!
It can be used with any textbook because in its main list it lists all words (except proper nouns, i.e. names of places or personal names) of the Hebrew Scriptures occurring ten times or more in descending order of frequency. This is complemented by an index listing all these Hebrew words in Hebrew alphabetic order (i.e. not by root).
There are other lists for proper nouns, adjectives, or verbs (grouped by root or by class, sorted alphabetically).
There are no transliterations so the user must be able to read the Hebrew script. The fonts are clear and sufficiently large for easy reading.
The only minor negative point is its poor binding.
I wish I had bought this book back in 2003 when it was published!
