Another Disappointed Customer,
This review is from: Philips Senseo HD7814 Coffee Machine, Black (Kitchen & Home)
There is no doubt that the coffee this machine produces is very good. Unfortunately, after about three months, the Senseo Coffee Maker stopped working correctly. The problem I had was that the machine failed to produce a pre-programmed standard mug size amount of coffee. The only way round this problem was to push the double cup (mug size) button twice in succession to get the correct amount of coffee. Things got from bad to worse as time went on in that the machine produced smaller and smaller amounts of coffee until it became useless.
Like other reviewers, I searched the internet for a solution to this problem with the Senseo machine and was surprised by the number of people who had similar problems to mine. I fully appreciate that the odd faulty machine will get past quality assurance but in my opinion, this problem is so common that it appears to be a design fault.
To put things in perspective, I am a great fan of Philips products as I find them to be reliable and long lasting, but in this instance, much to my surprise, Philip's have got it wrong.

I am yet another owner who can not get this senseo coffee machine to make a mug size coffee it only works using the I cup button so is using too many pods ! Hence very expensive It is time Philips did the honourable thing & recall these early machines INSTEAD of expecting us to buy a new machine. THE 7825 IS FAULTY?
