As a long time Superman fan who was disappointed with the lack-luster "Superman Returns", I was hoping and praying for a new instalment, a new take. It's safe to say that in my opinion, Zack Snyder has quite possibly delivered the best adaptation to date. Watching this film in stunning HD (High Definition) is a wonderful experience, although I wish whoever was the sound editor/designer would've mixed it a little better--at times it's quiet, and others incredibly loud. It was this way in the cinema too.
For the Blu-ray itself, I've already given my opinion on the audio and video. There are many great features, more than what most Blu-rays are offering these days, but it still lacks something that personally interests me, and it's why I had to knock a star off for a 4/5. You get English, additional languages and audio description--it's missing a commentary.
For those wondering about UV (Ultra-violet). Viewing from a browser, the quality is definitely DVD quality or higher and 24fps. If you intend on viewing it offline and you don't have a Blu-ray drive in your PC or laptop--the copy you can download using Flixter seems to be rendered at less than DVD quality and 15fps. Honestly, it might be better to just grab a DVD copy and Handbrake or MakeMKV then produce your own rip for off-line or on-the-go viewing.
Overall though, I am still happy with this purchase.
