Vax Bare Floor Pro v Mop and Bucket,
This review is from: Vax Steam Mop - S2S-1 Bare Floor Pro With Detergent (Kitchen & Home)The truth is this - Having just used the Vax Bare Floor Pro for the first time I am extremely disappointed.
Setting the cleaner up was easy enough, but trying to fill the tanks was really difficult as you cannot get a grip on them to pull them off the only up side is that the unit heated up extremely quickly.
I used the cleaner on tiled and laminate floors and was amazed at how much water the unit dispensed onto the floors, they took ages to dry and as for the promise of a citrus clean smell, forget it!
Because of the amount of water it leaves on the floor I would be really nervous about using it regulary on the laminate flooring as I'm pretty sure it will damage it.
Vax Bare Floor Pro v Mop and Bucket - at the cost of nearly a £100 for the floor cleaner, I would definately say that the mop and bucket although harder work wins hands down! You will get a cleaner smell and dry floors in minutes, if I could send the unit back for a refund tomorrow I would!

This is exactly my experience having just used the item on laminate flooring around the house.
The floor is taking ages to dry - not that much less than having used a bucket and mop.
Maybe I'm doing it wrong, but it also leaked a shed load of water after I finished. Maybe I went overboard on the steam button - not sure.
