This review is from: The Field Guide: The Art, History & Philosophy of Crop Circle Making (Paperback)
As a crop circle entheusiast I read this book with caution for I like the concept that some non-human intelligence is using field art as a communication. My favorite crop circle woodborough hill 2000 is claimed by the author as "fibronacci spirals, natural growth cycles modeled using simple mathematical sequence." The claim of authorship is descriptive but unsubstantiated. Making the circle pattern in the night, with each ring of triangles changing would be very complex. You did this? I am not convinced. On page 179 the grapeshot phenomena was summed up as even the most dogmatic now agree that humans are doin' em. I walked past one in 2011 that was not on the tramway, that would have taken a large ladder to access if your aren't going to leave a path signature in the field... Could someone on the way to make the design been carrying such a ladder? Yes, but it seems so ridiculous to have had that additional burden for such a modest design detail.
