I always walked around with my "Cheese & Onion" and "Salt & Vinegar" Oxford Handbooks as a medical student and in very junior years (Oxford handbooks of Clinical medicine and Clinical Specialties). I still use the updated editions on quite a regular basis in general practice, for an authoritative aide memoire, and reference source.
The series has gradually expanded, and I was pleased to find this ("Crispy Bacon"?) edition on a growing area of medicine.
It is conveniently pocket-sized (in keeping with the others), and has proved an invaluable resource. I have read it cover-to-cover, for starters, and will be using it regularly in practice. Our asthma/ allergy nurse at the surgery has also found this extremely useful.
