Irritating and disappointing.,
This review is from: How to Get Ideas (Paperback)
I expected a book on "how to get ideas" would have me riveted from cover to cover, especially, considering the 5-star reviews here. Unfortunately it failed miserably. I have tried, several times, to read this book, but I always end up putting it down, frustrated, due to the pitiful lack of innovative ideas it offers. My advice to anyone is to simply read the chapter list, which is the best the book has to offer! The rest is mosly waffle and padding, with pointless cartoon drawings taking up full pages, 'cute' but unhelpful quotations surrounded by more blank paper, unusually large margins, unusually large line spacing and double paragraph spacing. Admittedly this book was published in 1999, but there were far better books on this subject even in the 1960s.
