My personal favourite story of Patrick Troughton's tenure as the eponimous chronological runaway Time Lord, the Doctor.
This story on TV is presented in a different way here. The novelisation contains many differences, most notably those that are different.
The whole concept of a malleable world of fiction may have been tampered with before in other formats leading up to the 1960s but not so in the way shown here. The Doctor and Jamie and Zoe,have to use their knowledge of Earth parables, stories, riddles, fiction, comic strip telepress and all sorts of other fiction in order to find a way out and the way back to the safe haven of the TARDIS.
Also what story could be cooler than a one featuring Wendy Padbury, Medusa the Gorgon, an exploding TARDIS and white Void-like null space of nothingness?
Exactly. Go on, endulge.
