If you love nigella you should hate this book,
This review is from: Nigella Express (Hardcover)
What can i say. The thing that makes Nigella special is her joy in eating and sharing food and general enthusing about food. This is where this book is a complete let down. There is nothing wrong with the food you end up with after following one of her recipes, it is the normal high standard you expect. But what ruins this book for me is the lay out. The short step by step numberd approach is awful, i understand why it is like this, as express was the point. But i dont have to like it. Gone are the rich and decadant photos and the passionate, witty and interesting introductions to the recipes. The problem with this book is its normal, theres nothing special about it. Unlike most of her book this one is not a joy to read, own and pour over.

If you want a book that will give you quick, easy, tasty meals then this is the book for you - don't be put off by the negativity of this review. Personally I also found it a joy to pour over, the fact that it doesn't take too long to do that either is in my opinion another bonus.

Please ignore this review; Nigella's book is wondeful. It's a different take on 'fast' food. Recommended.
