Good product, poor integration,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: PCTV Systems DVB-T2 292e nanoStick HD TV Tuner - Watch, Pause & Record Digital Freeview Hi Definition and Standard Definition TV on your PC. Stream LIVE TV to your iPad, iPhone, PC. (Electronics)
I bought this product to use with my Windows Media Center PC. Undeterred by reading about other people struggling to get the thing working with existing tuners I decided to try it.
Good product - well made, picture and sound much better on the HD channels and it comes with a USB extension cable in case you don't have room for it sticking out the back of your PC.
Poor Integration - if you use this product on its own with Media Center then it is fine. Plug and play - tune it in and off you go. I didn't want that, I still wanted to use my existing tuners so I could record more than one thing at a time (Media Center allows this). Plugged it in, Media Center starts to scan then tells you that the thing has no signal. After loads of messing around and a useless mail from PCTV support I got it working with two other tuners.
This is what I did (Windows 7)
After plugging in install the media center upgrade app on the disk. Next go to settings and set up TV signal, after it downloads local details it will ask if you want to scan, select no and do it manually. Take the tick out of the PCTV tuner and scan for channels, when it finishes it should ask you if you want to scan on the additional tuner, select yes and it should work (this took several attempts for me but stick with it!).

Hi, apart from, the above there is not much to add except I had to repeat it several times. It was some time ago so there maybe new drivers so check the vendor website. Good luck!
