Out of it,
This review is from: Silly Verse for Kids (Puffin Books) (Mass Market Paperback)
I first came across this book as a 5 year old, it was read to us in the classroom by a relief teacher and I have loved it ever since (a life changing experiance). I can still remmember all of String and Worm from 30 years ago, so I have had to buy it for my Daughter (7 months old) but until she is old enough to appreciate it I'll keep it safe for her. Ideal for any child big or small.

D. Joy says:
I can't agree more with this review - String has always been a work of complete silliness that somehow worked... String, a very important thing, rope is thicker but string is quicker! Who knows what Spike was thinking but I had a copy when it was published and I too remember many of the verses some 35 years later.

Ms. Felicia Davis-burden says:
My dad gave me Silly Verse when I was 4 or 5. I laughed then and I still do now, at 43! My favourite is still 'Mary Pugh was nearly two when she went outdoors...' Still has me in hysterics. It was the first verse I ever memorised, and I still recite it to myself whenever I feel down. It always puts a silly grin back on my face. God bless Spike!
