The title of this book is very different from the usual romantic titles which reflects the story - an unusual time shift which kept me turning the pages. The story follows a modern day tale of an estranged couple who are renovating a tumbledown cottage that has turned into a money pit. However, they are finding it impossible to restore the love and passion in their own relationship. Alongside this contemporary story, is the poignant tale of a young woman divided from her lover by the Civil War. I don't want to give away any spoilers but this unusual romance made me laugh and cry. Well worth a read if you want something fresh with a paranormal twist.
