wonderful but bullfighting sequences very distressing,
This review is from: Bacon's Arena - The Definitive Francis Bacon Story [DVD] (DVD)
Wonderful and insightful look at Francis Bacon artist and person. I would point out however there are some distressing bullfighting sequences during the main documentary that are unpleasant and objectionable. It is within the context of Bacon as an artist and man, but I don't really want to watch animals being tortured and killed on a DVD and feel others may share that viewpoint or at least should be aware such content is there.

I haven't seen the DVD and there may be a compelling rationale for the bullfight sequences, but I fully support your view - cannot bear to see (or hear about) any human abuse of animals. I guess we'll just have to watch with the fast-forward on standby.

Thank you for pointing the bullfighting scenes out. You have saved me from experiencing the upsetting and heartbreaking scenes.
