Not a magical product...,
This review is from: Dyson AM04 Hot Fan Heater with Air Multiplier Technology (Electronics)
I just bought the Dyson AM04. I tried to research this product before buying, but could find no information about specifications. Even the Wattage was a mystery at first. Dyson themselves could/would not provide any useful info!
So I was compelled to write this review to help others decide whether to buy it or not.
It does heat a room evenly but only a small, well insulated room. 16-20m2 max.
In very cold weather it will struggle to reach room temperature (21 C) and probably won't...
The thermostat is not `intelligent' and works like on any other heater, IE the heater will go on and off every few minutes according to setting. This means that the temperature in the room eventually goes down and you have to put the heater back on `full blast'.
It is as energy efficient (or not) as any fan heater, though does heat the space quicker and more evenly so maybe a little saving there...
It is only 2kw so will not do the job of a more powerful heater despite the 'Air Multiplier Technology'.
It is very noisy so not suitable for a bedroom.
It does look good and well designed...
It is not, in my opinion, worth the huge price tag. If you are looking to heat a large space this is definitely not for you. If you need to heat a small space and have money to burn-go for it.

This is a very helpful review. Obviously I am looking for an efficient heater and have experienced the Dyson hand dryers which are good. I was also prepared to pay the high price if the heater worked well. However, I too could not find information on the running costs/wattage. This of course made me a little suspicious as Dyson are not 'up front' with this information. Their 'blurb' was selling a design not a heater. Thank you very much for taking the time to write the review. I will not be buying this item. Furthermore, I will remain cautious of Dyson in the future, given the fact that basic wattage information is not easily available. I ask 'What else is Dyson hiding!'

Do not waste your money bought this item from Comet. Used to heat a 5 x 4 office and it is useless. Paid the money because the write up from Dyson was so good. Going back to Comet for the second time (took first heater back because we thought it was faulty) taking second one back to try and get money back!!

Very helpful reviews here, and confirms what I've experienced myself with Dyson products, just a load of hot air with a ridiculous pricetag.
Can't believe people fall for it time after time.

Hi Georgina, The review is nonsense. It is a gem, a work of electronic brilliance. I LOVE it !!! I am in no way connected with Dyson... S
