Promising start, disappointing ending,

It started well, looked like there could be scope for character development. Aside from the sometimes simple language I thought that both characters were self indulgent and not very real. They didn't represent a "normal" people (with jobs and responsibilities) so not sure how to relate to them. There also didn't seem much conclusion aside from him realising he had been an idiot!
