This review is from: Makita ZMAK-BBX7600 75.6cc 4 Stroke Petrol Backpack Leaf Blower (Garden & Outdoors)
I have a large amount of leaves and a workshop full of hard to start two stroke machines. I had a puny hand held blower that did a poor job, so I thought I would give this four stroke Makita BBX7600 leaf blower a go. I am very pleasantly surprised.
It almost started on the first pull new out of the box after adding oil and fuel. Then after one hours use, it now reliably starts on the first pull every time and you don't have to pull that hard because it starts at a much lower cranking speed than most small two strokes. It has other advantages there is no smell of burnt oil and it is a lot less noisy compared to most two strokes. It needs the choke to start from cold, but you can open the choke fully after 2 or 3 seconds. It has never stalled for me and this is important because you don't want to take it on and off your back to restart it.
The performance of the blower is outstanding. Far more pressure and flow than my previous 30cc hand held unit and no unpleasant vibration. The machine weighs about 11 Kg, but once on your back you hardly notice it is there. I found the tubes quite hard to assemble, but some screen washer fluid allowed the parts to be assembled and solved that problem. It took about 10 minutes to assemble.
This machine sweeps up leaves very quickly.
