A great read.,
This review is from: Diaries Of An Internet Lover (Paperback)
I think the essential thing is to take this book with a pinch of salt. It must be remembered that its not a guide to internet dating, and never was intended to be, it's simply a journal of Dawn Porter's internet dating experiences and how they worked out for her. I really enjoyed the book, I think the author is likeable, extremely honest and her outright sexuality was great. The men she met were described brilliantly, and I love the way they were given comedy names 'the bumbino' and 'flash' to name but two.
To say the spelling was awful is just silly, the book itself was written well, and yes, there were the odd spelling mistakes in the emails within the book, but jeez that adds a touch of realism to the book...how many people write emails at home and dont concentrate and make the odd spelling error? give the girl a break!
I say its a cute, funny book to be enjoyed in your leisure. Perhaps, being in my early twenties I could relate more to the author's perspective/sense of humour, who knows, but I totally recommend this book! Laughs to be had all the way through. Good luck to Miss. Porter for the future x
