Haynes strikes again, and scores!,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Raspberry Pi Manual: A practical guide to the revolutionary small computer (Owners Workshop Manual) (Haynes Owners Workshop Manuals) (Hardcover)
The remarkable Haynes car and van workshop manuals supported home maintenance of most of the cars I've owned since the 1960s, as well as those of friends and relations.
Then they did a much-publicised manual for the Supermarine Spitfire of WW2 fame, and I had to have that, of course. Not that we own a Spitfire, but we might, one day?
Now it's the Raspberry Pi workshop manual, and we have a couple of these wonderful computers that fit in a box of kitchen matches and cost peanuts. Eben Upton is the remarkable chap who started it all...
So they have (of course) done a wonderful job. If you own (or consider owning) a Raspberry Pi and prefer to use a book rather than web info to guide you (or both, like me), then this is an excellent choice.
The manual covers all the basics, and adds quite a bit more - despite a year of Pi-cookery it was still very useful to me in a number of ways.
Like the Spitfire manual, it's a good read, as well as being useful. Recommended!
