Very good- but a little short,
This review is from: Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (Xbox) (Video Game)
This game was an amazing experience, its got it all- decent graphics, good AI, good combat system, extremely addictive gameplay, variety of sub quests and combined with a story line fit for a film this should deserve 5 stars.
But.....the whole game took me around 25 hours to finish, without a guide and doing a fair amount of the sub quests. Now i think this is a little short for a game (i spent around 2-3 weeks in my book), and compared with some other games (morrowind inparticular) it suprisingly linear, true you can complete most of the subquests either the dark way or the good way, but the whole story depends on a small converstaion that you have very near the end of the game, and no matter how bad or good you have been during the rest of the the game, the outcome of the story depends on whether you kill the sith lord and take over his empire, or destory him and return to the republic.
The game has a resonable replay value, you will have play it twice to see everything.
you dont have to know anything about starwars or even like to enjoy the game, but if you are a star wars fanatic then you might get to grips with the general story a little better.
there are a vast amount of weapons you can use, but as soon as you become a jedi (probablyt 7 hours in to the game), you will only really want to use your lightsaber, the the other weapons become pointless.
Overall, if you like starwars, RPGs or generally a damn good game then i suggest you buy this, alongside halo, splintercell and morrowind i would class this as a must have if you own an xbox
