We gave up on this film 54 minutes in. There had only been one good scene with singing and dancing. The rest was just quick snaps of topics which did not seem to be linked in any way. It might have been slightly more tolerable with some actual continuity.
Whoever said this is as good as Chicago must have been lobotmised between viewings. Do not spend your money on this film. It is some of the worst dross we've have watched for many years. If you're really, really desperate then watch it on TV when it's finally broadcast.
I cannot understand how this ever managed to be put up for any academy awards unless the nominators had a sick sense of humour.

The problem is with you, not the film.
