This review is from: The MacGregors: Alan - Grant (Silhouette special edition: The MacGregors) (Mass Market Paperback)Nora Roberts knows how to show the inter-relationships of a powerful family. She knows how to relate the relationship between two independent but vastly different personalities between a brother and sister. She shows Shelby as the out going, extroverted go-getter talented woman that was affected by the same tragedy as her introverted, equally talented brother, Grant.
I found it very interesting the story about how both siblings found love in very different ways, but with the same result. They both had scars from their father's sudden death. She expertly showed that you can overcome these scars. The path that Shelby and Grant toke showed that you can love people and not be hurt the same way as you were in the past. Basically, the past can be a good teacher, but not necessarily the indicator of the future. Learn from the past, but don't repeat the same failings.
