great idea shame it didnt work,
This review is from: Komputerbay 16GB (4 X 4GB) DDR3 DIMM (240 pin) 1333Mhz PC3 10600 / PC3 10666 (9-9-9-25) 16 GB KIT (Accessory)
i bought this when it was listed at £200.00 sadly two of the 4 sticks were faulty, one immediately i installed it, so i booted on 8GB instead of 16GB, within a couple of minutes the second of the 4 originals had gone down, which follows the classic ,'bathtub curve' (so called as it looks the same shape side on) used to describe the lifespan of mechanical devices, as the majority, if they are going to fail, will do so fairly quickly when they are put under load, for the % of any given batch under test = the vertical side at the tap end of the bathtub (= failure rate), they will then typically run for an extended span (flat line = time, or the bottom of tub) then at the end of their designated lifespan they will start failing again, as the vertical line rises again = failure rate makes the opposite end of the bathtub.
Shame as even at £200.00 they were still cheap, now the seller is are knocking them out for £150.00 a 25% discount which dosn't exactly inspire confidence. I bought 16GB Corsair xms at a similar price (£200.00) to replace these and they were a faster clock speed, 1666Mhz instead of 1333Mhz, and worked perfectly straight out of the box, soak tested for 48 hours and still going fine, which I guess shows you often get just what you pay for!!
