A poor and uncomfortable effort,
This review is from: Zalman ZM-M100 Optical Mouse (Accessory)
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
This should not be regarded as a cheap mouse, although it would not be fair to recognise the modest price of the product.
It is not a cordless mouse but that should not be considered a substantial drawback except on a few occasions.
My main concern is that I find the mouse slightly heavy and uncomfortable to use. I appreciate that such points are matters of taste, but children have found the mouse to be a little larger than they would normally expect. I would go along with that. Also, I have grown used to and quite like the 'rubberised' surface given to parts of such devices and I miss that in the present case.
Further, the mouse wheel, particularly when it first arrived, was very stiff and was close to causing blisters on my fingers being as the wheel has serrated edges and use was very much like having to wind on the time/date of the traditional sprung watch by a few days.
The fact that the wheel has now eased is not necessarily comforting as it may indicate that the wheel might become too loose over a period of time.
Design of a mouse is particularly important, given the nature of the use to which it is put. As will be seen, my own view on such matters was negative.
On the technical aspects, I would not wish to criticise any aspect of the mouse which appears to give accurate results without any of the negative aspects of some of the visually slick but otherwise cheap but far from cheerful offerings.
For me, a good mouse but an uncomfortable one.
