Excellent introduction to food smoking,

Being a fan of smoked fish, I was delighted when my daughter bought me this as a present.
Despite the almost total lack of instructions, I was able to obtain good results from the "off". So far, we have smoked rainbow trout (on 3 occasions), salmon (twice) and mackerel. Our favourite is trout, cheap and very tasty. The smoker can take at least 6 good sized trout fillets at a time. I am very lucky in that I have a plentiful supply of oak shavings through my work.
A few tips:-
1)Read a good book on smoking and curing, as the brining stage which precedes the smoking is very important.
2)For safety's sake, buy a digital probe themometer to ensure the food has reached the correct temperature.
3) After 2 smoking sessions, I became exasperated with the meths burners supplied, as they are uncontrollable and run out of fuel in mid-smoke. I bought a really cheap butane camping stove, and stood the smoker on this, and it works beautifully with excellent control.
With the above provisos, I can thoroughly recommend using the Fladen smoker.
Try it. you won't regret it.
