Very hit and miss,
Indoor aerials have for as long as I can remember been very hit and miss. Hopefully somewhere on Amazon there's an audio/visual electrical expert out there that can put us all straight?
In my laymans experience I've had a few over the years. Some expensive all singing and dancing, some cheap as chips and they all seem to be the same.
So when I was kindly sent this aerial by the manufacturer to test and review I thought I'd give it a go, as it could be 'The one'
It certainly looks the business and is very well presented. In the box you will find -
- The aerial unit
- Indoor stand
- A 3 metre aerial cable that connects the unit to your tv
- The USB powered frequency booster/cable
- Outdoor mounting kit
- The instruction booklet
So, it's pretty easy to set up and takes 5 minutes. A green power on light will come on once you've plugged the USB booster/aerial in (most tellys have a USB port nowadays) and switched your tv on.
In use in my bedroom -
I set it up and switched on. I then tuned my freeview/digital tv in using the auto tune in the set up menu. These are the channels I picked up in Liverpool. . .
Channels I picked up were -

Okay so far!
To me, the last 15 are a waste of space! That's just me though :)
On my list there are no BBC channels or news channels. Where you live your list might be different/better!
Now. . .the picture quality was up and down a lot! You know, blocky stuttering occasionally freezing picture. Within an hour I didn't see ten mins of continuous constant good telly. I tried the old moving it around and stuff with no improvement.
So, I tried it in the kitchen which proved much the same and finally in my shed (I had the aerial outside now) and it was better but not perfect.
In all aspects I could only pick 2 digital radio stations up too. Absolute and Heart.
For me, this one was the same as all the others I've used but. . .no worse.
I think it's worth a go if you're strapped for cash and desperately stuck in a room or caravan and you need some telly!
Depending on your location it'll be great for some and not so for others.
All I can say is that it does work to an extent but not great.
