I was disappointed having set out to buy a beginner's book that would include all the standard recipes such as shepherds pie, steak and kidney pudding, casseroles and stews but instead this book is largely comprised of pasta dishes, pizzas and vegetarian meals. Most of the recipes I would categorise as 'junk food'. It would be difficult for me to find half a dozen recipes that I would want to cook or eat. Oh well, I will have to start looking all over again for a beginner's cookbook that has recipes for all the good old British favourites.

Excuse me! Vegetarianism is NOT 'junk food'. Maybe its time you moved into the 21st century, regards healthy eating.

Mr. C. R. Ward says:
Sorry but since when is "Steak and Kidney pudding" a "standard recipe"? Most kids these days prefer to eat pasta and the like. To call it "junk food" just displays your misunderstanding of this.
