Wonderful entry to the series,

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
As someone whose father gave him a book on Cell Biology to keep him quiet, I smiled with remembrance as I read through this.
All the important parts are covered, from internal biology, evolution and even symbiosis where certain unicellular organisms have been subsumed to be organelles.
There is a slight medical bent to certain points of the book but the author does not ignore other fields. I would recommend to any student of biology as an - you guessed it- introduction.
