This review is from: Battleship "Musashi": The Making and Sinking of the World's Biggest Battleship (Paperback)How do you build a battleship nearly half a mile long in a highly populated city and keep it a top military secret and keep it hidden during construction and keep approx three thousand workers quiet about building it,and it being the worlds biggest ship ever built, and your engineers are not allowed to see all of the blueprints?
The answer is here. an excellent book. fascinating and a very good read.loved it.

C. E. Taylor says:
Half a mile long ?
Lenght overal was 863 feet approx .
A mile is 1760 yards = 5280 feet.
Not the worlds biggest ship either, not by tonnage or lenght.
