This review is from: Thinking is Making: Presence and Absence in Contemporary Sculpture (Hardcover)
A very well produced and thoughtful book about sculpture with excellent reproductions and essays. Provides a varied survey of artists for whom making by hand is paramount. Essay by Martin Herbert about the sculptural object and an interesting history of St Martins School of Art with the story of John Latham's Chew and Spit: Art and Culture among others.
