This review is from: Blind Eye (Logan McRae, Book 5) (Paperback)
I can only sum up my opinion of this book as "very disappointing". I am a real fan of Stuart Macbride and have looked forward to this book coming out in paperback for some months now. I did read some of the other reviews, but decided that I would make my own assessment - but I now have to agree with the other, mainly negative reviews.
The main problem with this book, in my view, is that there are too many storylines and plots going on at any one time. It's quite hard to keep up with what has happened. I also think that the characters have become too exaggerated and a bit caricature like. This is particularly true of DI Steele - her character is now just laughable and far too stereotyped.
Overall, I didn't enjoy the book half as much as his previous novels, and wouldn't recommend it.
