This review is from: The Bike-Owner's Handbook (Paperback)
I saw this recommended in the Guardian's "readers' favourites" section. I now think this may have been a PR plant, as this is a very basic handbook, maybe suitable for a teenager who's just bought his first bicycle. I thought it might be a nice birthday present for my husband, who cycles to work every day and would like to know things like how to choose the right tyres for coping with the many puncture hazards in London's street, how to choose a seat that complements a thicker tyre, etc. I chose not to give it to him when I saw how flimsy and basic it is. The cover looks shiny and cheap too. For the price, I was expecting something a lot more substantial, both in content and design. Disappointing.
