This review is from: If Nobody Speaks of Remarkable Things (Paperback)
This was my book club choice and I found the book easy to read, the narrative is pacey and carries you along with it. However, I totally agree with the reviewer who said that referring to people by their house numbers was a really annoying device. It just meant that I simply couldn't remember who was who and that was frustrating. I was irritated as well by the lack of insight into situations. Why did the boy with itchy eyes die for example? I ended up not really knowing what the point of it all was. I wonder have I missed something vital? An interesting and unusual book but unsatisfactory in so many ways.

It was outstandingly unhelpful for you to ruin the plot there.
