This review is from: A Lonely Place To Die [Blu-ray] (Blu-ray)
If you're expecting a climbing movie, forget it - there's even less mountaineering than Cliffhanger. A Lonely Place To Die is essentially a crime movie, as others have noted a girl who we are later led to understand has been kidnapped, is found buried alive in the woods by a group of hikers/climbers.
What follows is a somewhat muddled chase movie as (seemingly) various factions with an interest in the child pursue the rescuers, who are picked off one by one.
The ending is definitely a bit odd, can't say more without giving too much away and I support the comment in an earlier review - that what looked like a tiny cluster of crofter's cottages on the map, morphed into a medium sized town when the survivors arrived there.
Would probably have made a good two part TV drama - borne out by the low key acting - but it's not really a movie you'd want to keep.
