I've turned my back on Bach,
This review is from: Bach: Violin Concertos (Audio CD)
I used to be a huge fan of Bach, bach in the day, but ever since hearing Stravinsky, I can't get bach into it. It's really bachward in comparison. Try listening to every Stravinsky record, bach to bach, and you'll see.

This has to be one of the saddest reviews I have ever read. What on earth were you even trying to say about this CD, or about anything?

Hey, you must have set a record for no-votes with this.
Don't worry, with luck you'll grow bach into it and realise how juvenile Stravinsky is by comparison.

You must have cloth ears. Stravinsky superior to Bach? Get serious.

I was a bit uncertain, but here is PROOF POSITIVE that IQ (occasionally) = shoe size... and a rather small shoe at that... Ludicrous!

Concise, humorous, delightful. Much unlike Wagner, just a little like Liszt during his levitation/ transcendental meditation period. Read between the letters, as though the exqusite silences amongst the notes of the Bach tell a greater story of human suffering than all the Shostakovich motifs herded together and made to sing for their supper by a cruel and mocking apparatchik. I salute you JO hunter. More reviews! Bravo!
