Written out of a thesaurus,
This review is from: Cultural Studies: Theory and Practice (Paperback)
If you want a book to explain the concepts to you I wouldn't buy this.
I can see this 'essential reading' will end up never being read as I'm better off reading nothing at all.
It is full of jargon and uses abstract concepts to explain other abstract concepts, making it really hard to understand.
It is written as if every other word has been plucked from a thesaurus so a dictionary may well be needed.
This could be useful as further reading if you have the patience to see past the language and format. I was hoping for a 'core text' that would put concepts simply that I could then read more about.
