My husband read this disturbing account whilst on holiday and freely admits to sitting by the pool with tears pouring down his face. It is a true account of one woman's crusade to expose the heartless treatment of child migrants to various commonwealth countries right up to the 1960s. It is well written in a very factual, unemotional style and this makes the things the author is describing even more horrific. This is not a fun book but it is a true story of tenacity and commitment - very thought provoking in all respects.

Monica M. Horn says:
If it moved your husband to tears, was "well written", "factual" and "thought provoking" why only rate it at 3 stars? The "disturbing" and "heartbreaking" aspects are related to the the tragedy itself, not the quality of work put into the book.
