This review is from: Clock and Watch Repairing (Paperback)
This book was written many years ago and has been revised at least once. In all that time the author never felt the need to add to the book a correct method of removing the crystal or the proper method for removing the winder in order to take the movement out of he case. indeed he begins the dismantling process with an assumption that the crystal is already removed. I cannot believe that no other review has mentioned this omission. A poor mistake in an otherwise good book that makes it almost impossible for the beginner to proceed with a watch repair without further research. Of course all of this information is now available on the internet so buying the book has become an obsolete except that I really wanted a reference manual by my side to flip through whilst working.
