Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Al-Kitaab fii Tacallum al-cArabiyya with DVDs: Pt. 2: A Textbook for Arabic (Paperback)
This is one of the worst language text books I've ever come across, and that includes 15 years as a full-time teacher of languages and many more part-time. Moreoever it is the opinion of others in the class I attended in which we 'used' this book. Unfortunately some courses seem wedded to it.
It is badly organized, introduces new words but does not use them again, with the result that there is no reinforcement, and has no grammar summary. The DVDs are extremely difficult to find one's way round.
Time permitting I could write a whole essay on why I hate this book!

We have no choice but to buy this book as it's part of our degree program, really not looking forward to using this book after using the first one, which was bad too, thanks for the warning

There are other books! I suggest you, and if amenable your fellow students, complain vociferously about having to use it. If it weren't for the students the teachers would be out of a job and the college/university would not exist, so good luck in exercising your democratic rights!
