Good, high quality soother. Shame about the box.,
This review is from: MAM Perfect Soother for 6 Months + with Sterilisable Travel Case (Green) (Accessory)
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)Our 7-month-old daughter took to this soother straight away, no problems. It's got a very thin body which she seems to enjoy as much as, maybe more, than the others.
Obviously we have no intention of leaving it in her mouth anywhere near long enough for it to affect teeth development (those warnings are mainly aimed at parents who leave dummies in baby's mouths for the whole day, every day), but I can see how it could be a better design than some of the cheap models. Whether it justifies the extra expense I'm not sure, but it's definitely high-quality.
The symmetrical design and grip is good, our daughter's very adept at popping it in and out of her mouth if she wants to, finding it easy to handle, and of course it doesn't matter if she puts it in upside-down, which makes life easier.
Only three points, though, for one stupid design flaw... the box. The box itself is needlessly big compared to the soother, it's not all that sturdy, and weirdest of all, it has some pointy bits in it which, as we nearly found to our cost, could be a really painful problem if your baby like ours is preoccupied with sticking things in her mouth. You have to keep the box out of the baby's reach, just in case, when it would've been possible to make a baby-proof box. Silly really.
Not bad at all, but not necessarily sufficiently better than some of the supermarket alternatives.
