A different fantasy,
This review is from: Devices And Desires: The Engineer Trilogy: Book One (Paperback)
I found Devices and Desires to be a very refeshing read, having read many fantasy books, I can honestly say this one is like no other. There are no magicians or ghouls, Elves and alike. Instead, its an intricate web of deceipt and betrayal on a deeper level. The protaganist is an engineer by proffession, his view of the world and his life is seen in terms of blue prints and sacle drawings used for making and designing componants, plant and equipment. It helps if you have some knowledge of engineering but is not a prerequisite for enjoying such a well written book. I throughly enjoyed reading this and would reccomend it to anyone who is looking for something a little different.
