Fantastic read throughout... A must buy.....!,
This review is from: Bravo Two Zero (Kindle Edition)
Everyone should at least have heard of the story/ mission by now.....so.......
Where to start, I'm not one for digging at what did or didnt happen here, the fact was that what these SAS soldiers were doing was their duty, and remarkable it is too, if a few bits get added in for good measure so be it. I have read all three accounts of this book, Chris Ryan's "The one that got away" - Michael Asher's "The Real bravo two zero" .....
This and Chris Ryan's account are brilliant. I have to admit that find discrepancies very annoying by other reviews, they are at the end of the day different views of the same mission, especially as they were split up.... I also have to say that I don feel that Andy McNab was not putting down his other patrol members at all, I feel that it is just his style of writing.
The book all in all NO SPOILERS...... Is fantastic, a real page turner, we all complain about the prices on amazon etc, however I have read this twice, and I own the real book versions too.....
One of the few books out there that is worth the money, I must add that so is Chris Ryan's book...... As for Michael Asher's so called real bravo two zero, personally I wouldn't trust a word from the Iraqi army 10 years after the event, or he Bedouin who say that it was measly 3 poor farmers chasing the bravo two zero squad, I prefer to believe our soldiers, the ones that were there.
Anyway, this is a must buy.... Happy Reading!!!
