At last! One of the most addictively wonderful albums of the decade so far is released. The promo copy I bought in February 2009 has hardly left my CD player and every track is good enough to go on repeat, in fact every other album I have bought this year has been quickly displaced again by "Fruit"
Their regular live (and IMO superior) cover of Marvin Gaye's "Inner City Blues" has now been added as a welcome bonus.
Highlights would be ALL the tracks but if pushed I would give a very special mention to "Bad Fever", "Push The Envelope" & "The Golden Age""
Mette's versatile, and kooky (in a good way) voice swoops, dips and soars like the A to Z of every female vocalist that has ever existed and the use of brass is equally delightful and another key driving force of the live set. Hope this band are around a long, long time!!
