This review is from: Queen's Gambit (Hardcover)
Back with my favourite genre, good old historical novels and this is a brilliant example and a reminder as to why I love it so much.
All about Katherine Parr this time. Whilst some feel the `Tudors' have been written about to death over the last few years, I still can't get enough. Elizabeth has been so descriptive in showing Katherine's feelings and how gentle she could be on the outside with Henry but so very clever, knowing how to handle such a King.
I loved Elizabeth's interpretation of Dot Fownten, whilst little is known of her, in this book she has been given a story and one that you can only hope was something near the truth.
This book is so easy to read and clearly a huge amount of research has taken place to make everything as accurate as possible.
For all you fellow historical novel lovers, or people who just love a good book, I recommend this too you!
