Erm not quite...,
This review is from: Panasonic MC-CG695 High Efficiency Bagged Cylinder Cleaner (Kitchen & Home)
Given the positive reviews, I decided to purchase this item a couple of months ago. I certainly dont buy into the great marketing around certain brands and so wanted to give this one a go. Whilst the first 3-4 times of usage it worked ok, I have now found two very annoying drawbacks. Firstly the vacuum hose seems to be made out of low quality plastic material and feels very flimsey and completely lacking in length. The hose is made out of such cheap material the hose has now permenantly bent out of shape near the top, resulting in intermittent suction power loss, stopped only holding that section of hose whilst cleaning the majority of the time; Certainly not why you buy a vacuum cleaner!
Secondly, whilst the suction power is very strong, it seems on quality carpets, for some unknown reason the cleaner can seem to move the fluff around meaning repetitive and frustingly time consuming vacuuming (I noticed this as I have cream carpets). All in in all, it looks like I will now have to purchase a quality brand cleaner!

The hose is made to be lightweight - and it is certainly that; but I agree that it could be more flexible. We don't find the problem you have found but you would get a replacement for free under warranty if you contact the shop you purchased it from or Panasonic, for sure. We find the vacuum to be quite excellent - the quietness and extreme suction are extraordinary and better even than our Miele. However, it could do with a "cat and dog" type motorised head attachment as certain kinds of fluff, as you point out, stick like heck to wool carpets.
