This review is from: 1/2" Toilet Cistern Bottom Entry Inlet Fill Valve BRASS (Misc.)
Had to replace the inlet mechanism on a corner toilet as the original went to the great plumbing graveyard in the sky. Chose this as it was a good price and had a brass Bottom. I did have difficulty fitting it but this was not due to the valve, butt the toilet's position. The entrance was at the backside of the cistern which is a corner one as I mentioned, so the brass bottom stuck out underneath right in the corner of the room and was difficult to get the tool in to tighten the nut.
I followed the instructions on the setting for the water level and it filled to the correct height after a very minor adjustment on the screw adjuster. I find it a tad noisy on the fill and that's the only bad thing I can say about it. It is causing me earache as it disturbes my lady if anyone uses it in the early hours. Probably would not have noticed except it is the upstairs loo, so sounds even louder. Hence the 4* rating. I
would recommend it for anyone who wants to do the replacement as a DIY project. Had I called out a plumber it would have probably cost me in excess of £80, so I saved my self over £70, what can I do with £70, no you can't have it I'm too much of a scrooge( was going to put a tight A**E) for that. Just re read this and feel I have to apologise for the toilet humour......HEHE
