Much better than I was expecting!,

This review is from: Everlast Chinning / Sit Up Bar (Sports)
I confess I had some reservations after reading the other reviews for the bar. I'd previously tried one of the completely detachable bars but my walls and door frames are too thick, so I thought this was worth a try.
The packaging is basic but good. It doesn't need to be much, after all, it's a bar, 4 connecting plates and some screws! Putting up the connecting plates / discs is easy, just 3 screws for each one. I didn't like the idea of just screwing straight into the doorframe so I used wall plugs. The connectors are fairly unobtrusive but might get a lick of paint soon.
Sizing the bar is easy and the bar is rigid. I was expecting the bar to rotate, but once extended, the bar was rigid.
The hardest part of the whole procedure was moving the foam hand grip as it is very snug, but this only needs to be done once. The bar can be extended / shortened with it at its final length (as long as your door isn't too narrow). The vital piece of missing information is that it extends up to 91cm. It takes my weight comfortably (and I'm about 250lbs).
So, all the connectors are up, the bar now sits at the top of the doorframe and isn't in the way. Moving between the top connectors and the bottom takes about two minutes.
The only problem now is that I can't do chin ups to save my life...
